Even when I tried to explain it/show humility it didn't change their perception one bit. With money running out to live off, I lowered my expectations and just applied for any unskilled job - shop assistant, working in a call center, ANYTHING just to bring some money in. I applied for around 80 jobs in March, all unskilled. I got interviewed for about 15 of them, and again I tried both tactics (telling them and being upfront, and letting them find out via referencing). Again, the same thing, no one wanted to hire me. What do I do? I am nearly out of money, I have no job and literally no one wants to hire me. I've approached recruitment agencies who again tell me what I already know - it will be difficult.
