"Focus that goal on self-care because that's really, really needed this year and really, really important, " Leech said. Teachers have extra, build-in days off to allow them to focus on themselves. "They know they've got to take care of the teachers first so we can take care of the students, " Wrast said.

Sorry to make one of those ~wanting to move to New England~ posts. I did look through similar posts in this sub for some ideas on where to live. From what I can tell the cost of living in most of New England is a bit high. Currently, my boyfriend and I (age f22 & m25) live in Eastern Washington state. We have no kids, just two cats. Neither of us have a college degree and I'm wondering if there is even a market of jobs that could give you a liveable wage anywhere in New England? Most jobs I am seeing on Indeed require a degree. Which due to the areas I've been looking, is fitting for how professional a lot of New England is due to colleges and big cities. I've been browsing several areas; to give you and idea of what we're interested in: I love live music, concerts are my main joy in life. We like going out to eat or going to bars, walking around town, not like crazy into any outdoor activities but I would like to live somewhere that has nice parks or just a walkable area. I really like art and history.
